Ninja Scroll, This is one of my all time favorite films. It was probably one of the first films that introduced me to to ‘adult animation’ and Anime. With gratuitous servings of both blood and boobs, it was unlike anything I’d ever seen before.

I have a confession to make.

I *love* Sailor Moon. In particular creator/Mangaka Naoko Takeuchi’s artwork.

There, I said it. haha

Seriously though, Sailor Moon was my first encounter with Anime. Well, Anime in it’s ‘purest’ form.

Series such as Robotech and Voltron don’t count because they were re-written, re-cut, and basically re-invented for western audiences. They were packaged as US shows.

Sailor Moon was my gateway drug to Japanese culture in general and began my life long love affair with Japanese pop culture.

So, it will always have a special place in my heart and memories.
