Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle commercial. “Professor Layton has become 3D!” Look, it’s another creepy town harboring a big secret.
Mask of Miracle’s Famitsu score has come in, with the “Cross Review” panel awarding scores of 8/8/8/8, which sounds awesome, except when you see that Samurai Warriors: Chronicles got two points higher. That means that objectively, scientifically, this is a worse game than Samurai Warriors.

Professor Layton’s London Life, the “100-hour RPG” unlocked after completing Professor Layton and the Specter’s Flute, which is available only in Japan right now. If it’s not obvious, Brownie Brown (Fantasy Life, Mother 3) worked on this.
I know there’s some worry that this will never release in North America, what with Mask of Miracle and the Ace Attorney crossover already slated for 3DS, but I think the series is too much of a cash cow for Nintendo to skip this and not milk it in the West. I do, however, think the company might pass on localizing all that text in the London Life bonus portion of Specter’s Flute.
In a strange bit of synergy, a bunch of Tumblr dudes liked/reblogged our old London Life screenshots today, just as a discussion popped up on NeoGAF about this 8-bit-style project. Someone shared this video in that thread (here’s another one), proving it does exist and it’s out there on someone’s DS right now! Just not yours.
